Boat Safety

All boats afloat on inland waterways in the UK are legally required to hold a current Boat Safety Scheme (BSS) certificate, as operated by British Waterways.  This is the boating equivalent of the MOT.  You will need your certificate in order to get your insurance and license.

Steve Hanlon is an experienced, registered Examiner for the scheme, based at Bredon Marina and covering Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.  He would be happy to discuss your requirements, provide free advice and carry out the test for you.
